Drew St. John

President of New South Access and Environmental

Drew St. John has enjoyed a 30 year career in environmentally focused construction and preservation. He obtained his BS degree in Landscape Architecture from Mississippi State University in 1980. From 1980 through 2001 he provided landscape design and installation services on large high profile corporate sites throughout the eastern US. Just a few of those clients were GTE, EDS, Walt Disney Co., PGA Tour, Federal Express, Nike, CBL Malls, Harrah’s Casinos, the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Ducks Unlimited and many others.

In 2001 St. John joined the Symbiot Business Group as Chief Operating Officer. Symbiot is a nationwide consolidator of property service companies. In 2005 he joined the Wilson Oyler Consulting Group providing consulting and guidance for service companies nationally.

In 2007 St. John founded New South Equipment Mats, a company solely focused on access solutions in challenging environments. After some four months of research it was clear that while numerous companies were selling hardwood mats nationally, there was not a company focused on minimal site impact with maximum engineering guidelines and efficiencies deployed. New South employs the latest mat technologies that save time, money and the environment. New South has completed projects in 34 states nationally and has offices and project management in Mississippi, Florida, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Texas and Vermont.

In 2016 New South joined the YAK ACCESS family of companies where he continues to serves as President of the company.
